Therefore, pay careful attention to how you conduct your life — live wisely, not unwisely. Use your time well, for these are evil days. (Redeem The Time) So don’t be foolish, but try to understand what the will of the Lord is. Ephesians 5:15-18
There are so many stories right now of how people are going stir-crazy. It is difficult to have our lives up-ended so suddenly. This virus certainly has changed the way we live.
Life is changing, isn’t it? This past week has been quite a stunner. Surreal is the word that comes to my mind. While Moriah has been teaching, educating and preparing for something like this for over 10 years now … a person hopes the day never comes. Well, unfortunately it is here.
Quick adjustments are being made by all. These adjustments can be very difficult for some, including those who have lost opportunities, due to all the cancellations of events. These disruptions are difficult and they can be a painful process. How to proceed, becomes the eventual question.
One of the most common concerns people have, when wanting to make a life change is where to start. As a normal human being, it is natural to want “to do something”. The something is what can be so important. When it comes to life change ... just trying harder is unlikely to produce much significant or lasting change. The reality is that we have been formed very deeply, over many years, into the patterns with which we struggle. Divine intervention is needed, but do we sit around and wait for something to happen?
At times we lose the Big Picture because we become so focused on the details that are unfolding in front of us. Those details are important, and a certain godly mindfulness can help tune us into what God is doing in our lives in the moment. It is quite possible that He is at work to free us, or grow us, into much needed personal transformation. None of us would want to miss those moments.
